Romona Keveza is the royal brides visionary

2011 is truly a year of royal weddings, which is why Romona Keveza dedicated her new collection shown on April 10, 2011 at NYC Bridal Market to the new Royal Brides. After capturing the elegant style of Princess Catherine’s bridal gown weeks before the wedding, Romona Keveza has done it again with Princess Charlene’s. The beautiful bride looked breathtaking in her off the shoulder gown, which is strikingly similar to one showcased months earlier in the Legends by Romona Keveza Collection. Romona even predicted the accessories right – from the veil, to a simple side swept up-do (sans tiara), and the bouquet. The proof is in the picture; Romona Keveza is a true Royal fashion visionary!

Oh…did I mention, she is one of the very few designers who takes time after her shows (which are always intimate) to speak to you…remember you from the prior season…ask about your family….she is humble and yet has every reason-the talent to be a diva (which she isn’t). She is one of the industries true hidden gems. I can’t wait to see what she has for 2012. Aren’t you glad you discovered her here?

NYC Bridal market is winding down

Hi!  OMG the last 4 days have been on FIRE! Running from here to there; looking at countless dresses, speaking with designers and of course catching up with some of my friends in the industry.  Honestly, it is like a high school reunion.  OK, so I honestly hope that you’re been following along with my tweets and of course that you have subscribed to our facebook page.  There is just so much goodness on there, I can barely contain myself.

I’ve posted hundreds of photos from Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier (did you hear my BIG an EXCLUSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT from Monique?! I’m the FIRST and ONLY Journalist she has shared this with!!), Ines Di Santo, Alfred Angelo, Simone Caravilli, Christos, Kenneth Pool, Amsale, Jenny Lee, Priscilla of Boston, St. Pucchi, Romona Keveza, Anne Bowen, Matthew Williamson, Vera Wang – WHEW!!  That’s only the first 4 days.  There are still more pictures to upload and shows today.  OH…look at the time.  I’ve gotta run, but…here are a few more of my favorite pictures.

2011 Romona Keveza couture collection is pure glamour

I’m convinced that Romona Keveza doesn’t sleep.  She had a successful ready-to-wear collection and then she created two different bridal lines.  She is truly a special kind of designer.  The fall 2011 legends collection takes on the glamour of Camelot and elegance of the former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.

Once again Romona has captured glamour that ranges from short and sassy to full ball gowns that have amazing movement as the models walked.  The legends collection features classic chic and underscored by modern minimalism.  This is a marriage of Parisian style all with American girl spirit.

Her second collection begins with “Darling, won’t you join me?” The collection inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s portrayal of Holly Golightly and the Aristocratic soirées of the 1960’s NY high society.  Each piece in the collection really was a throw back in time where women wore gloves, and weren’t scared to wear something a bit more ‘shocking’ yet looked as if they effortlessly stepped off a fashion page.

Playful lengths, colors and cuts, bold and feminine touches, equal luxury and unassuming grace.  The Keveza bride won’t play by the rules…she creates them.  One of my favorites is a new spin on the ‘little black dress’.  Who am I kidding?  I love the entire collection.
