NYC Bridal market kicks off Fall Season

I’m completely in awe of all the bridal goodness I’ve seen so far.  Because I didn’t want to keep you in the dark for too long (even though I’ll have complete reporting in a day or two, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite pieces.

As for trends so far: Cap Sleeves, Illusion Sleeves, BOLD Necklaces on sweetheart or halter dresses, Intricate lace details, Beading (very small, very delicate – almost looks like it’s a part of the material), Daring and Bold, Light and Airy.

Here are just a few favorite pics  (ok, so there are 50) BUT…I’ve uploaded ALL MY PICTURES on our Yours In Bridal Facebook Page. If you’re not a fan – please “Like” the page so you’ll have up to the minute information on what’s happening in the world of bridal.  If you already do “Like Me”, THANK YOU!!

OK….Pictures, pictures…. Alfred Angelo, Simone Caravilli, Christos, Kenneth Pool, Sarah Jassir (she’s the daring one – WOW-ZA), Amsale, Jenny Lee and Priscilla of Boston.

Bridal Market Fall 2011 Matthew Williamson accessories

Bridal market…well mid-season bridal market is just hours away.  I can’t tell you how much excitement in the air already.  A very few of us lucky editors had the opportunity to view Matthew Williamson’s fall 2011 bridal line yesterday.  The dresses are exquisite and are for a very special…well…bold kind of bride.

There are a selection of accessories, which is what I want to share with you now.  The beading and details are truly amazing.  The fur (rabbit or mink) are so beautifully soft and offer a different kind of cover for brides with church weddings or if you’re getting married on the slopes….a perfect little wrap.

So as I charge up the phone and camera, pick out comfy shoes (hey, unlike Fashion Week…Bridal Market is like the running of the dresses for bridal editors – we are all over NYC) and as always I keep you in mind.  My focus is to bring you the best of what designers have to offer.  It’s also to give you something a bit more than the sheets they offer.  I hope when you read my reviews, you will ‘feel the experience’… If you’re not already, please feel free to “LIKE” us on Facebook and follow tweets @bridalease #nycbridalmarket

NY Bridal Fashion Week begins today!

OMG, there is so much going already.  Actually, last night I attended 3 bridal pre-events and if truth be told, I have 35 fashion shows and events to attend in the next 3 days.  While I do have a few that will happen through next week, this will be a world-wind kind of weekend.  So what am I grateful for?

1 – It’s not raining anymore YIPPIE!!

2 – I have a few backstage meetings with designers that I know you will love.  I can’t wait to write them up and share them with you.

3 – This years collection will in many ways reflect the tone and colors of fashion week, so if you didn’t see my coverage of Monique Lhuillier, Carolina Herrera, Jenny Packham, take a look.  I can tell you that Alfred Angelo will be using yummy colors like Coral, Rasberry, Navy, Latte in his bridesmaids collections.

4 – You are reading my entries.

I know you have your choice of blogs (sounds like an airline speech huh?!), but I want you to know that I honestly, truly appreciate you reading mine.

So…I’ve got to get read, but check out my tweets @bridalease for up to the moment shows and events.  Just like Fashion Week, I want you to feel like you are right in the front row with me.
