Rivini 2012 bridal collection

Rita Vinieris, designer of Rivini, says that she was inspired after seeing the painting “Scene Galante” by Giovanni Boldini. “I wanted to recreate the ethereal aura of the moment by using organza, French lace, and feathers in a light way.” She accented the collection with tones of elderberry and fawn and black diamond crystals.

It seemed fitting that this collection which was truly art-in-motion, took place at the reknowned “Alvin Alley” dance theater. There wasn’t a lack of color  or sensuality  going down the runway.  Soft pastel tones, plunging necklines, beautiful cowl backs, and frothy 3-dimensional swirls were breathtakingly beautiful.  Honestly, it did seem more red carpet than wedding.  Taking nothing from the collection, every piece, including the mini-dress with ostrich feathers (my personal favorite) would work for a bride who wants a little more sensuality to her wedding day.
