Wedding couples go pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

You know there will always be someone asking you to buy something during this month…how about doing something every month?  Early prevention is the key to finding any possible lumps in your breast and Endelssbeauty.com is spending the entire month on issues that surround the mental, physical, consumer and social effects of breast cancer.

UK Brides (but you can have them shipped to the US too), you want to show some love for Breast Cancer Awareness Month?  How about ‘Pink-soled’ shoes by designer Katia Lombard?  These classic heels will be your way on stamping out cancer.  Very much like our friend that does Red-soled shoes, these are HAUTE!! 20% from each sale goes through to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Thank You Bloomingdales!!  Their effort to help find a cure says “Give Pink, Get More”.  From Today-Oct. 31, pay $15 enrollment fee on your Bloomies insider card and 100% goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.   So if you spend $250-499 you get $25 back.  If you spend $500-749, you get $50 back.  For those of you who have registries at Bloomingdales…this is a GREAT opportunity to do something great and have a bit extra to finish off your registry purchases.

Last year Tic Tac® launched pink grapefruit in pink to help support cancer awareness.  This year, they have created the “Shake, Share & Care” campaign.  Just go to their Facebook page and post some act of caring/kindness.  Perhaps that would be not yelling at (you can fill in the blank) or doing something super special for your fiancée to remind him that he is special and this is his wedding too.  What will this act of kindness do? Tic Tac® will donate $5.00 to Cancer Care (up to $25,000).   Do this now through Nov 24, 2010.

Yes We Can

“Yes We Can” – true was a campaign slogan, but it’s now one of the newest nail polish colors from Essie.  This is the kind of subtle color is lovely not just to show your support, but because it’s a perfect bridal nail color.  Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC), a non-profit organization that helps women affected by the disease, gets a percentage of the proceeds if you purchase it from drugstore.com.

Recently at a trade show, I came across “WondaWedge”.  This is a easily inflatable, ergonomically designed pillow with multiple uses.  It’s great for the beach, music festivals, cool as back support during recuperation, pregnancy or simply watching TV in bed.  In six colors, this is something you might consider for your ‘destination gift welcome’ bags for beach weddings.  However this month, they are donating 10% of the profits from the sale of pink wedges to breast cancer research.

Not only supporting women’s desires for beautiful lingerie, Affinitas Intimates is pleased to give back and support women battling breast cancer as well.  Their lingerie is so pretty and we know all girls want to be pretty.  They have partnered with HerRoom.com to donate 20% of all sales proceeds from the “Samantha” Half-Padded Bra in Magenta (retail $28.00), sold online at www.herroom.com during the month of October, to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

No matter the language, let's fight cancer

Shanghai Tang has a limited edition “Pink Longevity” charm bracelet to bring the Chinese culture of blessing during Oct.  This is a wonderful bracelet in the shape of the Endless Chinese Knot.  The Pink Revolution campaign is going strong in Hong Kong but you don’t need to pack your bags (unless you want to).  Visit my friends at their locations nation wide, and for those of you in NYC visit 600 Madison Ave.

Pretty in Pink

Ceci New York is offering a 15% discount to all pink products purchased during the month. A percentage of proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  So this may be the time to get cards so you can write thank you to the women in your bridal party and those others in your life. (Disclosure: I know Ceci personally and will have an interview coming up shortly about her.  She’s an amazing woman.  Have you signed up for Ceci Style yet…you should.)
