Last month in NYC I was treated to over 4,000 food wine and spirits vendors at that Fancy Food Show at the Javitz Center. Can I tell you, that I ate my way through Chile, England, Africa and Texas. Yes, I was drinking Tequila at 10AM, coffee from South America at 2PM and then wine from Greece at 4PM. Here are a few vendors I really wanted to put on your radar.
Galaxy Desserts are truly out of this world. Beautiful texture, design and presentation will surely have your guests thinking you spent more than you actually did. They are compact and you can easily create a dessert buffet with their Duos collection. Mix up Double Chocolate Mouse, with Rasberry Lemon, With Crème Carmel and watch you sweet sigh of happiness. They also have the cutest Mouse cakes (cappuccino, chocolate, Mango and my favorite the Tiramisu) that can provide more alternatives for your dessert table. They are certified by KSA (Kosher Supervision of America) as well as offer product choices that are gluten-free. If you are looking for a great way to end your evening event, then just a little something that is out of this world is a perfect fit.
How about taking a trip to Mexico…right in your own backyard? With El Paso Chili Company, you can have instant (well, ok it takes 8 hr freezer time), the best frozen cocktails event. Just add your favorite spirits and water, mix and then freeze. Each of these great buckets makes sixteen frozen drinks and would be a cool addition to any Cape, Nantucket or Jersey Shore rehearsal dinner don’t ya think?
If you’re looking for a cool treat during these last dog-days of summer, Philip Pr’s ice creams and sorbet are exquisite. They are truly some of the most innovative desserts I’ve seen in a long time. Their passion is very clear in everything from the quality of the product to their presentation. From Sorbet roses, to mini cones, to mini ice-cream sandwiches, I promise you’ll have a hard time choosing just one.
There are candy bars, but Silver Moon Desserts will create a specialty cocktail flavored ice cream for you. I’m loving the Crème de Mint Chip, and the Mojito Ice. They can do custom orders and ship to you. For those of you living in the San Francisco area, how about a taste? Silver Moon will be at the Red Tie Gala, Neiman Marcus, Union Square, San Francisco, CA November 19, 2010
I love a sweet treat anytime, what about you?
